About Tracy Dezenzo

Tracy is a native southern Californian who has lived in Orange County, Solana Beach, San Diego, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Irvine, Costa Mesa, and Ocean Beach. There was a brief one year stint in Tempe, Arizona (for gods sake - why?) but that didn't last long. California is her home.

Between the ages of 13-29, Tracy spent wandering, experiancing everything life threw at her, partying (way too much) and meeting some very interesting characters along the way. But after partying her ass off for many years Tracy decided she needed to do some non-pharmaceutical mind expansion, so she gave it all up and went to college where she earned a BA in fine art/photography, a BS in graphic design and met her roadie for life, Bill.

Through Bill, Tracy met Adam and it was Adam's rockin skills that were the catalyst for the pop/punk-ish band, Sissy Deluxe (Tracy's first band). Tracy and Adam wrote some great tunes, played some really fun shows and then after a couple of years, called it quits.

After Sissy Deluxe, Tracy joined up with Scott Samuels and formed Roxy Monoxide, a power/pop group who kicked ass and took names for about 2 years. But with most bands, there was tension and typical "Behind The Music" boring shit that lead to Tracy leaving (er' getting ejected) from the band

After the Roxy Monoxide "experiance" had ended, Tracy formed Pick-Up Girl. Pick-Up Girl is everything that Tracy wanted; ashowcase for her own tunes, a creative outlet and a great group of musicians, who enjoy hanging out with each other. What a great concept... musicians who actually like hanging out with each other.

Through osmosis and working with a host of awesome musicians, past and present, Tracy has learned how to write a great song and a catchy hook and she hopes to be rockin' out until she dies.
