Well! It's been an exciting year for Pick-Up Girl. We started playing regular gigs. We traveled to Las Vegas for a gig. We added our lead guitar player, Wendy Bailey. We recorded and sold - yes sold - some cds. And we have made some great friends.
We are now looking forward to a busy 2008 and we hope you will be part of it.
There is one new item that we need to share. Our drummer of over a year has decided to move on. Jenny, and her amazing humor and drumming, will be missed. Her last show will be this Friday (Dec. 7) at Thorton's Pub. Come and give her your best wishes.
Our new drummer, Ryan Baker, will play his first show with us on December 27th and we are excited to have him join this chick band. Yes. We know he's a dude. But we don't care. He rocks and he's funny as hell.

We are using our light gig schedule to learn a few more rockin' tunes. Oh, and maybe a couple more cover songs - we know you love to sing along with the Pick-Up Girls and we want to give you the opportunity to do that by including a few cover songs in with our originals. So stay tune and listen closely for those new and exciting tunes coming your way soon.
We are also looking into getting a few acoustic shows and some of the local coffee houses. So, get excited, there may be some unplugged action soon.

Pick-Up Girl has been asked back to the Second Wind.
It always an amazing thing when people love what you do for them. We truly appreciate being asked to play again right after our set. It tells us that we did something right. We love that little local bar and can't wait to play there again.

It's official Wendy Bailey rocks and she rocks for Pick-Up Girl. We are very grateful that Wendy has decided to join Pick-Up Girl as our lead guitar player. We look forward to many great shows with her.

Pick-Up Girl rocks for cancer prevention.
Pick-Up Girl will be one of the many
great artists performing for the American Cancer Society's, Relay for
Life on Saturday, July 14th (time TBA). We are honored to be a part
of this very fun event and hope to see you out there cheering on the
runers.

Pick-Up Girl plays the August Ray at Night.
David at Ray at Night has been very supportive of allowing Pick-Up Girl to book a few others to fill in the 4 hour time slot. To celebrate women in music we have booked the following acts: Wendy Darling, Wendy Bailey, Jane Lui.
