February 2009
Recording vocals today on 4 songs. Can't remember which ones they are because it's been so long since we've moved forward with any recording. It'll be nice to get back to it.

wow! 2009. It's crazy how fast time moves.
In 2008 we added a new drummer, who is not a girl, Ryan B. It was a good decision to do so too because Ryan has added that super level of energy that has taken Pick-Up Girl from a folksy sound to a rock sound. The rock sound was always were Tracy wanted this band to go but it took a little testosterone to make it happen.
We also added Beth H.. Beth is an amazing guitar player who can shred and sing harmonies. She's a bad ass and by adding her to the band, Pick-Up Girl now has a musical depth that it didn't have before. 1 guitar=good, 2 guitars=friggin' awesome.
At the end of 2008, we also started recording a full length EP. As of December we have the drum, bass and rhythm guitar tracks done for 15 songs. The holiday season put the recording on a temporary hold but we're getting back into the studio at the end of January and hope to have this puppy wrapped up by mid-year.
We've added a bunch of new cover songs to our repertoire that our fans seem to really enjoy and we're currently working on a number of new tunes.
So stay tuned boys and girls. 2009 could be a great year for Pick-Up Girl. We hope you'll come along for the ride.
